Wadac are pleased to be able to offer the first block of sessions for children in Year 4-8.
March 16
March 23
March 30
April 27
May 4
All sessions will be held at Bar End from 3-4.30pm.
The sessions will follow the same aims as British Triathlon Skills School:
1. To nurture happy, healthy, and skilled triathletes;
2. Inspire continued engagement with triathlon
3. Develop creative coaches that specialise in fun and developmentally appropriate triathlon sessions;
4. Encourage ‘whole child’ coaching – developing the child and the athletes;
5. Produce better performances at all levels of triathlon.
Groups will be split according to age and ability and cover bike handling skills, running technique and transition skills as well as strength and conditioning.
When we secure pool time we will also practice transitions from pool to bike.
Delivered by qualified British Triathlon, British Cycling, England Athletics and Swim Smooth coaches.
Children will need a bike, helmet, gloves and a drink. It is important to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and suitable shoes such as trainers. No sandals or flip flops. At the start of each session a bike check will be performed.
The five sessions costs £15 for WADAC members (in total). Non-members will need to pay an additional £15 WADAC membership.
