Welsh Castles Relay 8th & 9th June 2019
The Welsh Castles relay is one of the highlights in the WADAC endurance running calendar. A fun-filled 200 mile relay that winds it's way through Wales from Caernarvon Castle in the North to Cardiff Castle in the South. Just being part of the accompanying motorcade of support vehicles is as much fun as the run itself! The first leg starts early on Sat 8th June up in Caernarvon and the last leg finishes late afternoon Sunday 9th in Cardiff. You can make it a full weekend event (many of us take Friday 7th June off work so we can travel up together and get into the game early) or join up with the fun for as short or long a period as you wish. At this stage all we need if for you to sign up and commit to running a leg. The aim is to apply for two teams which means we need 40 runners plus reserves!
In order to do this we need members to show interest and enter via this event registration asap so that we can submit entries by the end of January.
NB this event is only open to first claim members of WADAC.
Don't delay please register today! The £28 fee covers the cost of race entry and includes a commemorative T-shirt from the organisers at the end of your leg.
Further details will be issued regarding various packages including WADAC team/supporters technical T-shirts, transport and accommodation at a later stage and firmed up as your own plans for logistics etc develop.
At this stage we just need your entry for the event itself.
We recognise there may be some athletes who are ultimately unable to make it to the event (through injury etc) so operate a pool system where substitutions and refunds are possible......early registration helps us all and the actual allocation of race legs and sorting the other logistics will take place nearer the time.
The Welsh Castles relay is organised by Les Croupiers Running Club of Cardiff and full details can be found on their website: http://www.lescroupiersrunningclub.org.uk/welsh-castles-relay-2016/
